The Master of Public Administration, professional master, trains senior public service managers.
To succeed competitions Class A, candidates need to have a truly special training with this objective, which is training at the bac + 4 and even bac + 5 for the toughest competitions. In contract jobs, recruitment takes place mostly at the bac + 5, seeking the services of executives who possess a sufficiently extensive training. The Master of Public Administration is designed to meet these requirements.
The master 1 and master 2 can be followed successively or prepared separately.
Indeed . the master 1 is validated by controlling public administration, the output can be done at this level.
The direct input in master 2 is possible for students from other courses.
The master 1 is designed to prepare two semesters at most competition category A. Even if they pass a competition at the end of this year, given the length of the proceedings competitions, students may be interested by continuing to master 2 studies.
The master 2, provides, in 2 semesters further training and specialized in management and public management:
It helps prepare the toughest competition, particularly hospital director and National School of Social Security (former CNESSS)
it facilitates obtaining a job by successful candidates with a list of suitable candidates (competition of Territorial Administration)
it gives advantages to apply on contract jobs, especially in local government
The three courses: The training has a strong core curriculum, even in master 2 but a choice is offered between three courses which are initiated by the options selected master 1 and which develop into master 2 These three routes correspond to the three sectors that constitute the main markets of the diploma:
Management of public services of the state
Management of decentralized public services
M anagement of health and social public services
The course, conducted by master 2 contributes to the professional specialization of students and may facilitate the entry into contact with an employer services (particularly a local authority).
